At Wave on Wave Salon, giving back is more than something we do-it’s the heart of who we are. It’s a way to spark true joy. We believe our work is about more than creating beautiful hair-it’s about connecting, celebrating, and helping kids feel confident, cared for, and seen inside and out. Our philanthropic mindset comes from a simple belief: our gifts are meant to be shared with others.

Through our annual Cuts for Kids event, our salon welcomes 40+ local kids to experience firsthand what it feels like to relax in a salon. Over the past three years, we’ve provided more than 160 kids with a moment to cherish, while also extending that same spirit of generosity through haircuts during Christmas break in partnership with Love on Your Back.

But for Wave on Wave, while we adore a good color and cut, it’s never been about the hair.

It’s about watching families grow year after year, seeing the spark in a kid’s confidence, and reminding them that their community cares about them. It’s about hoping that when a child looks in the mirror, they don’t just see a fresh haircut-they see someone who is important, valued, and worthy.

A haircut may only last a few weeks, but the feeling of being encouraged, supported, and reminded that you matter can stay with someone much longer. That’s the lasting impact Wave on Wave hopes to create: not just helping a child walk away feeling good about how they look, but knowing they have a community cheering them on.
